The Manual Osteopathy Association of Manitoba Inc. was founded in 2016 as an independent, voluntary, non-for-profit association, promoting the professional practice of manual osteopathy, creating and supporting standards for safe and effective treatment and building a platform to unite all manual osteopaths within our province. Originally its name was "Manitoba Osteopathic Association", which was changed into the current name after our organization became incorporated. The MOAM also organizes continued education programs for members to advance in clinical knowledge and practical skills.

We are a professional practice organization that promotes the goals of osteopathic manual practitioners in Manitoba and advocates for them. We support our members (practitioners with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice, or “Osteopathic Manual Practitioners”) as well as students of manual osteopathy (or osteopathic manual therapy) and members of the public who have interest in our work.
