How to join the Manitoba Osteopathic Association
In order to become a MOA-member, you must be a graduate of a registered Canadian Manual Osteopathic College with a minimum of 2200 hrs of on-campus training and 1000 hrs of hands-on clinical experience.
Online courses without clinical component are not eligible for membership.
Please contact us to verify the eligiblity of your college / education.
You must also carry proof of professional liability insurance for Osteopathy.
Student memberships are available.
PRACTICING MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Copy of your diploma(s) and transcripts at a Canadian Manual Osteopathic College with a minimum of 2200 hours of training.
Proof of additional 1000 hours of clinical internship or hands-on clinical residency (intra- or extracurricular).
Proof of Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification. Online courses are not acceptable.
Copy of Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check completed no more than 6 months prior to the application date.
Copy of government issued photo identification (drivers license, passport etc.).
Proof of liability insurance with Lackner McLennan (or comparable companies) for Osteopathy with a minimum of $5,000,000 personal liability. The MOA is a registered association with Lackner McLennan.
Application fee of 300$ by e-transfer (includes annual membership fee of $150 and non-refundable application processing fee of $150) to firstname.lastname@example.org

Allow 14 days processing time. Once your membership has been approved, you will receive an email with your membership details. If you have applied for practicing membership, you will also receive your Manitoba Osteopathy Association member number, which you should use on your receipts as proof of membership. An official certificate of membership will be mailed to you.
